Project Fairbreak is a company dedicated to addressing two major problems facing the UK; homelessness and vacant unoccupied houses. These issues are connected. By turning unused properties into comfortable and homely living spaces for people in care, we not only aim to revive the local housing market and the local area, but also make bettering the lives of people affected by homelessness a reality.
We operate on three different levels to ensure that the people we aim to help are given the best possible chance at a new start by putting every aspect of care into the hands of professionals and dedicated people.
Hi everyone, I'm Tim and this is how I started project fairbreak.
I spent the better part of thirteen years working as a professional actor.
I performed not only around the United Kingdom but Europe as well. It was during my time as a performer that I started to realise that there was an overwhelming homeless problem and years later this would come to have some relevance in my trajectory.
Four years ago I started my property training with Progressive Property and from that I took one major lesson.
That property investors and entrepreneurs are problem solvers.
I wanted to find out if I could apply the same strategies I had used to buy and refurbish property for the rental sector to the supported living sector.
Using the same models I believe I have an opportunity to make a real difference to society, and like I said, solving the homeless crisis is a heck of a big challenge let alone solving the vacant housing problem at the same time, but I view my main goals as solving problems and helping communities and if there is one thing I love it's a good challenge.
I am a keen fitness enthusiast, singer and back porch guitar strummer.
Just in case you were curious about who I am and why I decided to start this company, here's a little video which should tell you what you want to know.
